God's Blessings Are On Those That Obey Him

Sunday, April 22, 2012

This week one afternoon  Ryan and I helped Jason blow insulation into our attic.  Jason had discovered it wasn't done right when the house was built. What a messy job, but it went better than I could've hoped for.
The 2 youngest were sleeping, (nap time) and Venesa slept way longer than usual. The girls were in the house, and Jason had told them that they were not to open the garage door for ANY reason! We didn't want to clean insulation dust out of the house too! My job was to keep adding the bales to the blower, and Ryan held the hose in place while Jason carefully walked over the truss, trying to avoid falling though the ceiling. It was suffocating hot up there; almost unbearable. Ryan and I switched places some. Jason got overheated toward the end and almost couldn't finish. It scared me to think of him having to go up again. I insisted that he wait for awhile, as much as I wanted to finish so I could get into the house again! Baby woke up hungry when we were nearly done. The girls had fun filling a baby bottle and giving her water! I guess she sucked on that for awhile, but was getting upset by the time I was finally able to escape the garage. So glad Eric slept the whole time! Anyway, Ryan asked, (somewhere in the middle of the project) Do you do this every year!?  His relief at my quick, "oh no!" helped him endure till the end! The end of the job...he didn't die up there. None of us did.
My family has started doing an e-letter. We have a schedule and each week someone writes their news and emails it to the rest of us. It makes me so happy to think that someone is going to write a letter this week and send it to me! :) I think it was my sister- in -law's idea, and Mary Lou, of course, made it happen. (She took the time to make up the schedule. ) Simon's are living in NY now. Jennika told me earlier today that sometimes she misses Natasha so much it almost makes her cry. I can sympathize... I have tearful moments myself. Like right now.....She is always making notes to send to her very best friend.
