Here is the up date I thought was gone....
I could tell the minute I walked out the door this morning around 8 o'clock that it was going to be a hot, humid day. I watered the flowers, although it looks like a chance of thunder storms every day this week. I was in the office for a little bit and was so surprised
when it suddenly was pouring! No time to rescue the laundry... it was still so hot after the rain, but it appears like the storms are not passed yet. My goal of washing windows today might be pushed off till a sunny day. I wash my kitchen window though no matter what the weather.
We are all enjoying summer days. The time we spent on school is easily used up with outside work and play! So much garden work and the peas and beans are not ready to be picked yet. The garden is growing better than ever, which means the weeds are also. I think all the planting is done now, so let it rain! I am longingly thinking of how much nicer our place would look with a fresh load of mulch, but we agreed that we must save money somewhere...so we'll wait a year. We do have a cool house; the air conditioner was fixed on my birthday. It was great to know it was getting fixed, but it wouldn't have been my preference to have the maintenance guys in and out of the house all day long.
This week I have the home school assessor app. It will be good to have that taken care of for another year. This morning I started summer school. The girls seemed to enjoy it...Ryan did his with a very unhappy look on his face. It will not take them more than a half hour a day. Compare that to 5 or 6 hours a day, and you have nothing to complain about! I should maybe choose several days to do school instead of trying to do it every day, since it wouldn't happen anyway. I was thinking of skipping Wed. since that day is usually either Mom's group or visiting Shady Lawn. Then if we skip wash days, there would only be 2 days left, and the books wouldn't get done. (which is not the goal as much as simply doing some review ).
